Georgia Update

With Sadie changing and growing everyday, finding activities that keep her interested and smiling are starting to require more creativity than the 'office' or talking about what we see on the blocks or in her books.  Enter - the laundry basket train, stuffed animals, new noises, and swing dance.

The laundry basket train is pretty basic - mom pushes baby around while chanting choo choo! and picking up stray toys along the way (aka cleaning).  Depending on my level of fatigue while crawling around on the floor the new arrivals are greeted in high style as they are placed in the train.   This is good for at least twice in a day.

Introducing 'new' stuffed animals is good for about ten minutes of fun while Sadie shakes, slaps, knaws on, and carries the new stuffed animal before it is again discarded beneath the table.  (NOTE: 'new' = not seen in the past few days)

Sadie is firmly in the banging stuff around stage.   We spend a lot of time listening to different combinations of 'mallet' and 'drums'.

We have been listening to big bands and some contemporary swing music and practicing dancing around.  Sadie can sometimes be tempted to bounce her knees to the beat, but it's mostly mom dancing and baby giggling at this point.
