A few days before I left, Mish Mish brought in a shrew (I think) and lost it behind our big bookshelf. I asked Brian tonight if he had moved the bookshelf and gotten it out yet. He suspiciously replied in a cheerful voice 'of course.' Brian also mentioned that the kitty has been bringing in his 'friends' all week to play with. Last year one managed to hide for a week under the futon mattress beneath our bed. We wondered why the cat liked to play under there until I saw it coming out one day...
Ahh, the Californian wildlife.
